2008 Seal Manual Suppliment Ready

The 2008 Seal Manual Supplement, with more than 40 new and replacement pages since the 2006 Supplement is now available.

Perhaps the most valuable benefit of IMIA membership for US stamp manufacturers is the IMIA Seal Manual.  First published in 1948, this 150-page loose leaf book contains all of the seal designs for Notary Public, Engineer, Land Surveyor, Architect, Landscape Architect, Interior Designer, Geologist and other disciplines for every state.  The Seal Manual is a constantly changing publication.  As new administrative laws and rules governing the design of these seals are adopted, members receive electronic notification of changes so the seals they manufacture are compliant.  Every 60-90 days members receive replacement pages for their manuals.  The Seal Manual is valued more today than ever before for two reasons.  First, most "seals" today are stamps and every stamp maker can produce them, whereas, in the past, only a limited number of companies made their own embossing seals.  Second, with orders being received from distant states over the Internet, stamp manufacturers must have a reliable source to depend upon to make their seals correctly.  How can you obtain a Seal Manual?  Only by becoming an IMIA member.  Click the Membership bar at the top of this screen to find out how to join IMIA.
